Getting Started with Payments
Learn how Circle APIs allow you to accept payment from traditional and crypto sources and settle in USDC.
Circle APIs are a set of functions and procedures that allow you to use USDC for payments, payouts, and transfers. They enable your applications to connect to banks and digital wallets and enable global payments via USDC. By integrating with our APIs to automate minting and redemption, you can provide stablecoin access directly to your users through your own app or website.
Core Functionality of the Circle APIs
All of Circle's APIs share core functionality that lets you manage your Circle Mint account in a programmatic way.
With Circle Mint, your business can deposit traditional money from 50+ countries and seamlessly convert it into "digital currency dollars": USDC. You can then use USDC for everyday payments and treasury flows.
All Circle APIs allow you to:
- Transfer digital currency (USDC) in and out of your account.
- Register your own business bank accounts.
- Make transfers to or from your business bank account while seamlessly converting those funds across digital currency and traditional fiat.
- Set up automated rules for funds flows such as "if a deposit is received from this bank account, then transfer digital currency to this blockchain address".
